The BBC has introduced an online 'care calculator' giving you information on social care provision for adults based on average figures for England.

The site contains: 

• a Care Questionnaire where you can contribute your views about the future funding of social care. 
• A Care Map, with links to Social Services and organisations across the UK which can offer expert advice and guidance on care in your area some
• Facts about the care system.

The number of people over 85 is expected to double in the next 20 years and treble in the next 40.

37% of people in Great Britain aged 65-74, and 47% of those aged 75+, have a limiting longstanding illness.
 
Every year over 2 million people become carers.
