Top animal award for Joan
Domestic Assistant and animal lover Joan Lawton has received one of the RSPCA's highest awards which is in recognition of her long and distinguished service to the Society and Bury, Oldham and District Branch.
Joan will receive her award - the RSPCA's Queen Victoria Silver Medal - at the Society's Annual General Meeting in Westminster in June. She is a trustee of the Bury, Oldham and District Branch and was instrumental in helping to establish the Branch over 45 years ago.
She has always been very concerned for the welfare of animals and has tirelessly campaigned against animal cruelty over the years.
Congratulations to Joan on such a fantastic achievement and long overdue!
